We now offer telemedicine (video) visits with Dr. Ort from the comfort of your own home! Many patients prefer the convenience and safety of seeing their doctor virtually rather than in the office. You can see and talk to Dr. Ort live during a video teleconsult. We can provide guidance on how best to connect with us. Currently we are able to use popular video platforms such as FaceTime, Skype, and Zoom. Please make sure to have a strong, secure WiFi signal for your video visit. Telemedicine works well for many skin conditions such as:
Some services such as mole checks and full body skin exams are best done in person. We can help you decide whether to schedule a telehealth or regular visit. Our fees for telemedicine are the same as our reasonable regular fees. Our patients have been very satisfied with their telemedicine visits! We are happy to answer any questions you may have about teledermatology in Denver, Lone Tree, Highlands Ranch, Parker, Littleton, Centennial, Castle Rock, or anywhere in Colorado.
We usually require that you send us regular photos of your skin condition prior to the video visit. Photos have a much higher resolution than video. The better the photo quality, the easier it will be for us to help you. Please read these tips on taking photos:
Please print and review our consent form for TeleHealth. Please sign and return to us via secure email or fax (720-344-0296).
You can send photos or other documents to us via email. However, please be aware that there are security concerns with email. We do not recommend that you email us from a standard email provider such as comcast, gmail, hotmail, yahoo, aol, outlook, etc. These email services do not protect or encrypt your private information. For example, if you use gmail, Google can view the private details in your emails, and it can save your emails and photos even if you delete them. In addition, your emails could be vulnerable to hackers who could expose your private information.
Only end-to-end encryption provides adequate security and compliance with the HIPAA Privacy Rule. By encrypting messages at both ends of a conversation, end-to-end encryption prevents anyone in the middle from accessing private communications (not hackers, not the government, not even the company that provides the email service).
We offer an easy, secure, and free method for emailing photos or private information to us. There is no need to install anything. Click here to learn how to send end-to-end encrypted email using ProtonMail.
IMPORTANT: We request that you send us only secure email which is end-to-end encrypted. If you send email which is not encrypted, you assume all security and privacy risks.
