We have been performing laser tattoo removal in the Denver area for over 20 years! We utilize Q-switched YAG, ruby, and alexandrite lasers. Our favorite tattoos to treat are those that are mostly or entirely black in color. Laser treatment is quick and non-invasive with little downtime. Multiple treatment sessions are recommended for best results. Treatment sessions are spaced about 6 weeks apart. Some tattoos respond faster than others. Black outline tattoos respond faster than solid tattoos. Amateur tattoos require fewer treatments than professional tattoos. We treat multi-colored tattoos less often because colors such as yellow, green, pink, bright blue, etc are more resistant to treatment.

One of our main goals is to ensure that you are comfortable during your laser treatment. We use topical numbing cream and blow ice-cold air at your skin during treatment to minimize discomfort.

For some small tattoos, Dr. Ort is able to surgically excise the tattoo and close the resulting wound with stitches under local anesthesia. Surgical excision removes the entire tattoo and replaces it with a permanent surgical scar. Whether or not a tattoo can be surgically excised depends on the size and shape of the tattoo, the body location, and on individual factors such as how a patient heals and any underlying medical conditions. Please be aware that surgical treatment is not feasible for most tattoos, especially larger tattoos or those located in tight areas such as the chest, shoulder, back, or lower leg.

Dr. Ort has performed thousands of tattoo removal treatments. If you choose to have your tattoo treated at our office, he will put his experience and technology to work for you. Please reach out to us if you have any questions regarding your tattoo.
